Spanish legal information,
for everyone.
Clear answers to the questions expats actually have – about visas, contracts, rights, and what to do when things go wrong.
Hi, I’m Tiffany Bayliss
But you can call me Tiff
In 2014, I moved to Spain on a PwC scholarship to study a dual UK-Spanish law degree. Pretty quickly, I realised I didn’t want to practise in a firm. I’ve spent the past eight years working as a legal entrepreneur and consultant, figuring out what being of service to my community actually looks like.
Along the way, I’ve made expensive mistakes – a company that went bust because I didn’t understand Spanish tax law, an assault case thrown out because my interpreter got key details wrong. And I’ve spent years helping friends and family untangle visas, rental disputes, and letters from Social Security that nobody can make sense of.
Guiri Legal is where all of that lands.

Sworn Translations
Whether you’re applying for residency, getting married, registering a degree, or anything else legal – Spanish authorities require certain documents to be officially translated by Ministry-appointed translators. We handle that for you.
- Accredited sworn translators across 25+ languages
- Every translation checked before it goes out
- Delivered on time, every time
Legal Interpretation
Court hearings. Notary appointments. Witness testimony. Consultations with Spanish lawyers. When the stakes are high, we provide qualified interpreters who treat your case with the care it deserves.
- Vetted legal interpreters for high-stakes situations
- In-person and remote options available
- End-to-end coordination so you can focus on what matters
Reviews
“Lawyerly” was set up in 2022 to make sure the law was never lost in translation, but along the way, it became clear that the mission was far greater than just documents and appointments. I wanted to build something that did more than just translate, but also made sure that everything that came before and after that moment, gave the necessary support and education for someone to make the best informed legal decisions. And so, 2026 marks the end of our linguistic work under the Lawyerly banner, and the beginning of our community work in Guiri Legal. We are committed to honesty, transparency, and being in service to our clients and community.
